More Than Just Money

North Shore has been committed to reaching out to our community through local, benevolent needs, as well as globally. Every week ten percent of our offering is set aside and divided among the Biblical missionary causes we support as a church.  But, more than just financial support, we partner with our missionaries.  If they are over seas, we love to help them with projects they have.  If there are local needs, we have a benevolence team dedicated to tempering need with discernment.

Church Planting

North Shore Christian Church began her ministry as a church plant a little more than a decade ago.  Click the picture next to this text to watch a video from the organization that helped to oversee our birth as a church and continues to make a difference in Christ's name each day world wide.  We value church planting as an intentional and efficient way of sharing the gospel of Christ with those around us and it's our endeavor to support the future of church planting through organizations like this one.

Local Missions: The Feeding Ministry

This is one of our most powerful ministries. Every week we feed people who are homeless and transient by preparing lunches and going out onto the streets to give them away. You can serve by donating food or by signing up to come in on Saturdays from 11 - 1PM! Signing up ahead of time for this ministry is very important, so that we don’t waste food. Because of the inability to predict each environment we visit, children aged 10 and older, accompanied by their parent/legal guardian, can participate in handing out the lunches. Children ages 8 and up can accompany their parent on Saturday mornings and help put together the bags, but, for their safety, they may not help hand out sandwiches or be left in a car, at a site, unattended. If your child is too young to serve here, purchasing snacks/juice boxes with your child to donate, talking about their purpose and even praying over them with your child can have a very significant meaning:) Teens 14 and older can serve without a parent.
