About North Shore Christian Church

North Shore Christian Church was planted by Jerry Halpin and his wife, Kristen, in 2005. Jerry had a vision for a church on the east end of Long Island where people could understand how irresistible Jesus is and how He can make a difference in their everyday lives. With an independent church background, a Bible degree, and an ordination as a "Timothy" of his home church Lakeside Christian Church in Kentucky, Jerry founded North Shore Christian Church as a non-denominational church led by internal leaders rather than an external denominational office or headquarters. At North Shore, we believe that, just as Jesus is irresistible and makes a difference in everyday life, so should the church be irresistible and help make a difference in everyday life.  People should wake up on Sunday morning and want to go to church.  Church should be people’s top choice on Sunday mornings. With that in mind, North Shore was launched on September 19,  2005, with 19 people and has continued to grow and cultivate that culture since.  From 2005 to 2008, we met each Sunday at a local elementary school. In March of 2008, we moved into our current location at 120 Kroemer Avenue in Riverhead. Our church leadership desires for everyone at North Shore to experience community within the church, cultivating Christ-like relationships and caring for and encouraging one another. Please click around our website and plan on joining us on a Sunday morning soon! We look forward to meeting you.

After twenty years of service to God and the church, Jerry is currently fulfilling his call to lead as the Supervisor for The Town of Riverhead.
